As a brewpub owner, I am by definition a tavern owner as well as a brewery owner, thus I got this mailing from the Tavern League today. How corrupt is this organization to automatically pick their candidate without asking a fellow tavern owner about his positions on their issues? This email alone says that Rob Swearingen takes his orders from a special interest group that donates to his campaign instead of serving his constituents.
Also take note that the Tavern League apparently doesn’t like craft brewers. Why would a lobbying group be against us little guys? I mean, we’re just a bunch of people practicing the craft of creating America’s most popular beverage!:)
Why? Because they don’t represent taverns at all but really liquor distributor monopolies who are mad that breweries serve their own beer out of taprooms and thus are able to skip the corrupt and inefficient middleman.
So independent bar owners reading this, realize the tavern league doesn’t really care that much about you either, nor dos Rob Swearingen. Follow the money.
Please share widely to show how corrupt our legislative majority has become in Wisconsin
